Job
Profile :
- Manage overall Pfizer supplier strategy in India across enabling functions and operations.
- Coordinating with Global Sourcing and divisional procurement resources, execute Master Services Agreements and initiate strategic partnerships with key vendors.
- Support the start-up of effective and efficient sourcing relationships locally.
- Work with businesses to identify new sourcing opportunities and prepare relevant business cases.
- Report on the activity and progress of the Company's area-based productivity and effectiveness investments.
- Be the custodian of share-able functional best practices across various sourcing initiatives (e.g., transition, Six Sigma / continuous improvement, etc.).
- Partner with local affiliate to develop and execute a robust external relations strategy with government agencies.
- Help educate and orchestrate exploratory visits for Pfizer colleagues with respect to productivity and effectiveness opportunities in the area.
- Understand local supply base and emerging trends; serve as a conduit back to business owners.
- Assist where applicable with consolidating vendor base, categorizing vendors, and implementing strategic management plans with top vendors.
- Supervise a small staff.
- Drive continuous improvement in key supplier relationships through the supplier management process.
Qualification & Experience
:
- Graduate or Post graduate degree in Science / Engineering preferably with a MBA from a reputed institute.
- Relevant managerial experience in sourcing, procurement, outsourcing & off shoring.

- Experienced in vendor management.
- Ability to be the custodian of best practices (e.g., defining standards, monitoring operations).
- Existing knowledge of sourcing landscape desirable or quick study (exhibiting an openness to new and different approaches to sourcing Pfizer requirements).
- Ability to work effectively, independently and at a distance.
- Ability to work well with others on a cross-functional and cross-divisional basis.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
- Comfortable and effective in interactions with executive level management.
- Self-starter.
- Supervisory experience desirable .
