About Bombay Leprosy Project (BLP)

BLP is a registered non-profit voluntary organization working for the welfare of leprosy patients, in the city of Mumbai, since 1976. BLP has been engaged in Urban Leprosy Control Work for over two decades and has pioneered several cost effective simple strategies to improve the quality of life of Leprosy patients.

Pfizer India is supporting the treatment cost of leprosy patients. Pfizer is working with the Bombay Leprosy Project (BLP) who administers the medication to the patients.

"BLP is one of the centres recognized by the government of India to receive and treat the leprosy patients with Thalidomide. We are immensely grateful to Pfizer for this gesture of sponsoring the treatment of patients" said Padmashree, Dr. R. Ganapati, an eminent Leprologist and Director of the Bombay Leprosy Project acknowledging Pfizer's support.
