Sabera Girls Home |
The Sabera Girls Home keeps children from poverty-stricken backgrounds, who have been rescued from the streets. These children are provided them with food, shelter and formal education. Sabera also conducts vocational therapy through music, dance, sewing etc. Currently, there are 160 children in the age group of 6 months to 16 years who live with Sabera. These children have been rescued from dire straits, from destitution and from terrible diseases. Today, they have a home that caters to their needs, that gives them a bed to sleep in, 3 meals a day and a formal education. They also have vocational therapy through music and dance classes, yoga. The children are taught computer skills, sewing etc. The girls are given the opportunities that all middle class Indians take for granted. From here, they will move on to their new lives, a life of hope and ambition once they are qualified to do so.
Helping a child suffering from poverty and distress, in his/her journey of life by providing shelter, nutrition, education and healthcare along with love and care is the most beautiful way to show dignity to mankind. It will be a matter of pride for us when these children grow up and become healthy and happy individuals. |
