Pfizer, Pharmacia Boards Clear Merger

The boards of Pfizer Ltd and Pharmacia Healthcare Ltd (PHL) have cleared the merger of the two companies and fixed a swap ratio of five PHL shares for every one Pfizer share. Pfizer Inc holds a 75 percent stake in PHL and 40 percent stake in Pfizer Ltd. The operational integration of PHL with Pfizer Ltd was completed in 2003.
