Pfizer registers sixfold jump in net profit

Pfizer has posted sixfold jump in the net profit to Rs 9 crore (Rs 90 million) for the quarter ended May 31 while net sales increased by 19% to Rs 127.5 crore (Rs 1.27 billion). Net profit was higher as other expenditure was substantially brought down to Rs 38 crore (Rs 380 million).

The company registered a net profit of Rs 9.35 crore for the second quarter FY04 an increase of 679.17% as compared to Rs 1.2 crore (Rs 12 million) in the corresponding quarter last year. The net sales were Rs 127.5 crore (Rs 1.27 billion) from Rs 107.27 crore (Rs 1.07 billion). e8nw.
