'Enhancing organization capability through people capability and change readiness' The Human Resources Division at Pfizer India is structured to infuse flexibility and internal customer responsiveness with respect to the management of human resources. The Division is organized into three major areas namely, HR Operations, Employee Relations, and Organization Effectiveness. The Human Resources group's primary role is to source and manage the talent required to meet the human resource needs of the company. It has a major role to play in organizational design, sourcing and selecting quality people, compensation and rewards management, career planning and development, performance management, and other areas of HR supporting the business of the organization. The Organization Effectiveness group (OED) aims to facilitate the integration of people and organization in a way that brings out the best from both. OED integrates the organization by working at different organizational levels - individual, team, inter-departmental interfaces, and overall organization culture and structure. Apart from training and development, OED is also engaged in various organization development activities. A major thrust area for OED is the dissemination of Pfizer's global values and leader behaviors. The Employee Relations group endeavors to develop a collaborative, constructive approach to deal with grievances and differences of opinion between colleagues. The key thrust is on developing and maintaining a climate of openness, trust and mutual respect and ensuring the promotion of Pfizer values and code of conduct in all aspects of business behavior. The HR Division has developed and introduced a number of systems for managing the complexities of workforce management - from the applications of PeopleSoft for people related management solutions to the web-based Perform, a performance management solution that elevates performance management from an annual event to an ongoing process. The Human Resources Division works in collaboration with the business in order to achieve Pfizer's strategic goals and fulfill its vision of being the world's most valued company. |
